During the semester there are a number of events scheduled in conjunction with the Teaching International series at PSUGA. Some of these events are organized around this year's geographical focus (the Celtic Nations) and others are focused upon this year's theme, which is Water. If you would like to submit extra credit for Comm 100, you can attend any one of the events that feature a guest speaker and then write up a one page synopsis of the talk.
Keep the following things in mind:
- Get to the event on time, be sure to take notes, and stay for the entirety of the talk.
- Submit the *typed* paper to me the following week via email (please put 'Comm 100 - Extra Credit' as the subject of your email).
- Students can submit extra credit work twice throughout the semester, i.e. attending and writing about two separate events.
- Extra credit opportunities are limited to speaking events, and not film screenings (though I encourage you to check out the films, as well).
This is an easy way to get extra credit for attending an interesting event, and useful way for you to learn more about the school's Teaching International series. The full schedule of events for the remainder of this semester is available here.
